SUNDAY SERMON
The sermon for Sunday, May 12th is on 1 Peter 3:1-7. Read that passage ahead of time to prepare your heart for the preaching of God’s Word.
PRAY
For the month of May 2024 we will be using passages from the book of Ephesians each day to guide our prayers.
Ephesians 1:20
“that he worked in Christ when he raised him from the dead and seated him at his right hand in the heavenly places,”
- Give praise to God that we have a risen Savior!
- Thank God for Jesus that is seated at God's right hand interceding for his people. Take whatever burdens are on your heart to him today, knowing that he hears your prayers and will answer them according to his will.
- Thank God that Jesus reigns "in the heavenly places," and that he is coming again to take his people home to be with him.
You can also take some time bring these things before the Lord.
- Confess your sins.
- The Lost
- Your Needs
QUESTIONS FOR FAITH GROUPS
- What is imperishable beauty?
- How does Peter instruct wives to adorn themselves, and what does this mean practically?
- Why is it important to consider the phrase, “precious in God’s sight”?
- How should we disciple young women into joyful obedience of 1 Peter 3:1-7?
- How should we honor women like the ones Peter is commending?
