SUNDAY SERMON

The sermon for Sunday, March 24 is on John 3:1-15. It is Palm Sunday, and we will be considering Jesus’ interactions with a Pharisee named Nicodemus. It is a passage loaded with wonderful, gospel truth. Read it before the service to prepare your heart to worship.

PRAY

For the month of March 2024 we will be using a portion of Psalm 103 each day to guide our prayers.

Psalm 103:6-7

The Lord works righteousness
and justice for all who are oppressed.
He made known his ways to Moses,
his acts to the people of Israel.

We live in an evil and corrupt world. Thank God today that he is the God of righteousness and justice! Pray for his righteousness and justice to reign where evil abounds.

God revealed himself and his commands to Moses and the people of Israel. Today we have his word that reveals him to us. Ask God to give you a greater love for and understanding of his word.

You can also take some time to lift up these things in prayer:

  • Confess your sins
  • The Lost
  • The Church
  • The World
  • Your Needs

QUESTIONS FOR FAITH GROUPS

  • Why did Nicodemus come to Jesus? Why do you think he came to him at night?
  • What does it mean to be born “of water and the Spirit”?
  • What does entering the kingdom of heaven mean?
  • How is a person born again?
  • Read verse 8. Why does Jesus say this?
  • How should this impact the way we share the gospel with others, and the way we take the gospel to the nations?
