SUNDAY SERMON

The sermon for Sunday, March 17, is on John 2:23-25. On this special Sunday, Pastor Dana Olson will return to the pulpit at Faith to preach Jesus’ knowledge of what is in man. Read that passage ahead of time to prepare your heart for the preaching of God’s Word.

PRAY

For the month of March 2024 we will be using a portion of Psalm 103 each day to guide our prayers.

Psalm 103:6-7

The Lord works righteousness
and justice for all who are oppressed.
He made known his ways to Moses,
his acts to the people of Israel.

We live in an evil and corrupt world. Thank God today that he is the God of righteousness and justice! Pray for his righteousness and justice to reign where evil abounds.

God revealed himself and his commands to Moses and the people of Israel. Today we have his word that reveals him to us. Ask God to give you a greater love for and understanding of his word.

You can also take some time to lift up these things in prayer:

  • Confess your sins
  • The Lost
  • The Church
  • The World
  • Your Needs

QUESTIONS FOR FAITH GROUPS

  • The setting of this passage is the Passover feast. Discuss the significance of this special feast and the connection with the work of Jesus Christ.
  • What does John mean by, “Jesus did not entrust himself to them.”?
  • How should the truth that Jesus knows all people inform our faith and ministry to others?
  • What have you learned so far in the Gospel of John? What stands out to you most?
