Psalm 56

SUNDAY SERMON

The sermon on Sunday, February 25th, is on John 1:43-51 (we will finish chapter 1!!!). Lord willing, we will focus in on the roots of Nathanael’s faith, and Jesus’ promise to him that he “will see greater things than these.”

PRAY

Take some time to commune with the Lord in prayer using parts of The Lord's Prayer as a model.

"YOUR KINGDOM COME, YOUR WILL BE DONE, ON EARTH AS IT IS IN HEAVEN." - Ask God to accomplish his purposes in the world and advance the gospel. Pray for the church, missionaires, pastors, and for God to use you.

QUESTIONS FOR FAITH GROUPS

1. In what way did Moses and the Law and prophets write of Jesus?
2. Why was Nathanael doubtful, and then why did he end up confessing Jesus to be the Son of God?
3. What did Jesus mean by “greater things” in verse 50?
4. What is the connection between seeing and believing, and what does it mean to “walk by faith”?
5. How can we help friends and neighbors who doubt God’s love and forgiveness in Christ? What should we do when we doubt?
