Mike is from Grand Forks, North Dakota, and received an undergraduate degree in Computer Science from the University of Sioux Falls (USF) and a graduate degree in Business from the University of South Dakota. Mike met his wife, Ellory, while at USF, and have been married for 20 years and blessed with 5 children.
Mike was introduced to the Lord at a young age, growing up in a Christian home with Godly parents. Mike's parents faithfully made church a priority and led him in a salvation prayer at a young age. Mike continued to work out his faith and make it his own into his adult years. Through that process of trusting in the Lord fully, Mike came to completely understand the gospel, God’s grace and love, the depravity of sin and need for a Savior, and the complete trust in Jesus and his saving work on the cross for salvation.
Mike has been at Faith for over 10 years. During this time he has participated in Men's ministry, taught in the children's ministry, and served on the Hospitality and Financial Review ministry teams.
In his free time Mike enjoys time with his family and watching his kids in their sport and school activities. He and his family enjoy the outdoors and love to visit Minnesota and the Black Hills. In the summer Mike enjoys the Sioux Falls bike trail and an occasional round of golf.
