The Gospel Explained
All of us have turned our backs on God.
We’ve tried to run our own lives, been selfish and refused to love others. This is the essence of sin, and the Bible tells us “the wages of sin is death” (Romans 6:23). But Christ chose to step in and take the punishment we deserve. He died on the cross to forgive what we’ve done wrong.
Rising from the dead, Christ defeated death.
His suffering saved us, and His resurrection secured a hope that can’t be destroyed for those who turn from going their own way and believe on Him.
The gospel transforms people.
The good news of the gospel transforms Christians to be more like Jesus. That transformation is sometimes slow. But we know God is finishing the work that he has started in each of us, and He will get the glory.
We challenge you to ask hard questions, study what the Bible says about Jesus, look at history and examine what you believe with us. The Gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke, John and Paul’s Letter to the Romans are great places to learn about Jesus.
