Greg is from Estherville, Iowa and is the oldest of four children. From his youth he wanted to be a Chiropractor, and in 1985 he graduated with a Doctor of Chiropractic Degree from Northwestern College of Chiropractic. The following year he married his longtime sweetheart Lori Burrell. They will celebrate thirty-eight years together this year. Greg and Lori have three married children; Krista, Kevin and Kaitlyn along with five grandchildren. He received his Master of Divinity Degree in 2016 and retired from his thirty-four year Chiropractic practice in 2019 to serve the Lord in full-time ministry.
Greg grew up in a Christian home. For many years his testimony would be that he was saved at the age of four following a presentation from a Evangelist who was a ventriloquist that visited his home church. But his true transformation began when he submitted his life to Jesus Christ in September 2007 following a crisis. God began to shape him and give him a call to ministry. In 2012 he began his studies at Sioux Falls Seminary and began volunteering at the Minnehaha County Jail. Following his graduation in 2016, he began his career as chaplain at the jail and began leading (and continues to lead) the Grace Team Jail Ministry. The following year in 2019, he took the position as Pastor of Prison Lighthouse Fellowship located inside the walls of the Jameson Annex of the South Dakota State Penitentiary. Greg's original and continued call to ministry is to "take care of God's people."
Greg has been a part of Faith Baptist Fellowship for almost twenty years. In 2018 he joined the staff part-time as Fellowship as a Care Coordinator. He continues to fill that role and loves watching the church care for one another.
Greg enjoys spending time with his family and experiencing the outdoors.
