PRAY

For the month of June 2024, we will be using meditations on Psalm 23:1-2 for our prayer guide each day.  

“for his name’s sake.” – Meditate upon God’s glory. He does all things for the glory of his name that you may delight in him. As John Piper says, “God is most glorified in us, when we are most satisfied in him.”   

You can also take some time bring these things before the Lord.

• Why can Paul rejoice in his imprisonment? 
• In what sense is his imprisonment “for Christ”? 
• How does persecution increase boldness for the gospel? 
• Why could Paul rejoice in poorly motivated gospel proclamation? 
• In what ways can Christians today be motivated by rivalry, and how do we push back against that in our hearts?
