SUNDAY SERMON
The sermon for Sunday, June 16 is on Philippians 1:27-30. Read this passage, maybe at breakfast with your family, to prepare your heart for the preaching of God’s Word.
PRAY
For the month of June 2024, we will be using meditations on Psalm 23:1-2 for our prayer guide each day.
“for his name’s sake.” – Meditate upon God’s glory. He does all things for the glory of his name that you may delight in him. As John Piper says, “God is most glorified in us, when we are most satisfied in him.”
You can also take some time bring these things before the Lord.
- Confess your sins.
- The Lost
- Your Needs
QUESTIONS FOR FAITH GROUPS
- What does the phrase, “worthy of the gospel of Christ” mean?
- How do we “strive side by side for the sake of the gospel”?
- What is a clear sign of destruction, and how is this good?
- If God “granted” for us to suffer for his sake, how should that impact the way we view suffering?
- How are ways we can practically apply this passage as a church and as individual Christians.
