READ
Sunday Sermon
The sermon on Sunday, December 15, is on Ephesians 2:1-10. This will be our 3rd time through this passage during Advent. Read it again as a family - perhaps memorize it – to prepare your heart for the preaching of God’s Word.
PRAY
Take some time to commune with the Lord in prayer using part of The Lord's Prayer as a model.
"FOR YOURS IS THE KINGDOM, AND THE POWER, AND THE GLORY FOREVER, AMEN." - Acknowledge God's sovereign reign over all things and thank him for his everlasting love and goodness.
Faith Groups
- What does it mean that we have been made alive together with Christ? In what sense are we now truly alive?
- What is the “gift of God”?
- What is our part in faith if it is a gift to us?
- If salvation is “apart from works” what part do works play in our Christian lives?
- How do the truths of Ephesians 2:1-10 bring a Christian lasting joy?
- How can we have this joy in seasons that definitely do not feel joyful?
