DAILY WORSHIP

READ

Mark 3:7-4:34

Proverbs 1:8-33

Weekend Reflection

We’ve completed the Book of Psalms—our third time through during this reading plan! Psalm 150 is a vibrant finale, overflowing with praise to God. It invites all creation to worship—not just with words, but with music, movement, and every breath: “Let everything that has breath praise the Lord.”

This psalm teaches us where to worship: in his sanctuary and in his mighty heavens. In other words, worship happens everywhere—even beyond earthly boundaries. It tells us why we worship: because of God’s mighty deeds and his surpassing greatness. We worship him for who he is, for what he has done, is doing, and will do.  And it shows us how to worship: with instruments, with dancing, and with every breath.

This is what we were created for—worship. Every inhale and exhale is meant to be a response of praise. This is why music exists: to glorify God. We worship our Creator, Lord, and Savior in every place, with every means, and with every breath.

Praise the Lord.

O God.” Meditate on Psalm 139 this weekend, and rejoice in God’s thoughts towards you.

PRAY

For the month June in our Daily Worship, we will be praying through our Five Loves during the week and our Mission and Vision statements on the weekend.

“Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.” – Psalm 119:105

“do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplicationwith thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.” – Philippians 4:6

When we say that we love God we’re not saying that we merely love the idea of God. We love the person of God. The remarkable truth is that God, the sovereign creator, and ruler of the universe, personally communicates with us and invites us to communicate with him. This happens through His word and prayer.

If you’re reading the Daily Worship posts on the app, then it’s clear you’re seeking to make personal worship a priority in your life. That’s great! Our desire at Faith is that each and every one of us would grow in the discipline of reading the word daily and praying.

  • Thank God for his word and that he has spoken to you through it.
  • Meditate upon a portion of God’s word that you read today in your reading.
  • Ask God to grow your love for his word and for God’s Spirit to use it to make you more like Christ.
  • Confess to God if you haven’t loved his word and prayer as you ought.
  • Trust God’s promises of forgiveness through Jesus Christ.

Ask God to grow others in our church in their times of personal worship.
