Zephaniah 9-11

Psalm 123

Weekend Reflection

Psalm 119 is the Bible's longest chapter, boasting 176 verses! But beyond its length, this psalm is a powerful testament to the transformative impact of God's Word. The psalmist sees God's Word as the very essence of life.

This psalm reveals that God's Word is more than mere rules; it's a treasure more precious than gold. It illuminates our darkness, clarifies our confusion, and guides our steps.

Even in affliction, the psalmist finds hope and deliverance in God's precepts. The Scriptures bring joy, peace, and unending praise to the believer.

As we meditate on Psalm 119, let's pray for a renewed passion for God's Word, asking Him to revive us through His righteousness. May we, like the psalmist, commit to living by God's Word, reaping the blessings of seeking His precepts.

PRAY

Romans 12:2

“Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.”

Pray that God would keep you from sin and guard you from the temptations of the world. Ask God to help you be a witness for Christ in the midst of an evil and sinful world and that he would use you to tell others who are lost about Christ. Ask him to renew your mind daily that you would be captivated by the beauty of Christ above all earthly things.

You can also take some time bring these things before the Lord.

  • Confess your sins.
  • The Lost
  • The Church
  • Your Needs

your life. Ask him to guard you against the temptations of Satan, the flesh, and the world.
