READ
Weekend Reflection
It was truly fitting that on Monday, the second day of Holy Week, we read Psalm 97: "The Lord reigns, let the earth rejoice."
Throughout this special week, we reflect on the profound truth that the Lord reigns. We remember Jesus' triumphal entry into Jerusalem, the Upper Room discourse, His act of washing the disciples' feet, the institution of the Lord's Supper, His betrayal, arrest, mock trial, condemnation, carrying His cross, being crucified between two criminals, yielding up His spirit in death, being buried, and...
Rising again in triumph over the grave!
All these events culminate in the precious declaration: "The Lord reigns, let the earth rejoice."
Let the events of Holy Week and Easter fill your heart with joy. Our Lord Jesus Christ reigns!
PRAY
Romans 12:2
“Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.”
Pray that God would keep you from sin and guard you from the temptations of the world. Ask God to help you be a witness for Christ in the midst of an evil and sinful world and that he would use you to tell others who are lost about Christ. Ask him to renew your mind daily that you would be captivated by the beauty of Christ above all earthly things.
You can also take some time bring these things before the Lord.
- Confess your sins.
- The Lost
- The Church
- Your Needs
your life. Ask him to guard you against the temptations of Satan, the flesh, and the world.
