Weekend Reflection
Have you found Ezekiel tough to understand? Most do, and that is okay. There are things clearer than others in this amazing book. One thing that stands out very clearly are the many “I will” statements that the Lord makes in Ezekiel (300+). Clearly, God is on the move in this book: judging, ruling, and even restoring. Perhaps it would be good this weekend to ponder the goodness of a God who rules sovereignly as King over the nations (Ezekiel 20:33). All our hope in this life is in the One who:
- Rules over all things. -Psalm 103:19
- Works all things according to the counsel of his will. -Ephesians 1:11
- Intends and brings about good through the evil schemes of man. -Genesis 50:20
- Works all things together for the good of those who love him. -Romans 8:28
- Has his purposes in this world and in our lives and those purposes cannot be thwarted. -Job 42:2
PRAY
Take some time to commune with the Lord in prayer using part of The Lord's Prayer as a model.
"AND LEAD US NOT INTO TEMPTATION, BUT DELIVER US FROM EVIL." - Seek God's guidance in every aspect of your life. Ask him to guard you against the temptations of Satan, the flesh, and the world.
