WEEKEND REFLECTION

Much of the readings this week covered the life of Samson. We can observe two things about his life. First, he made some really terrible and selfish choices on more than one occasion. And second, the Lord greatly used Samson, and was faithful to him.  

Samson faced many consequences for his own sin, and caused a lot of harm to those who loved him. But in and through and on the other side of those consequences, the Lord was still there, still working, still using Samson, and faithful to keep his promise to him. 

What a joy to know that God is so patient and kind with us. We mess up a lot, and we often have to face serious consequences for our sin. But in and through and on the other side of those consequences, the Lord is still there, still working, still using us, and still faithful to keep his promises in Christ to us! 

 

PRAY

For the month of May 2024 we will be using passages from the book of Ephesians each day to guide our prayers. 

Ephesians 1:19

“and what is the immeasurable greatness of his power toward us who believe, according to the working of his great might” 

• Thank God for his "immeasurable greatness!" Take some time to praise and adore him in prayer remembering that he is infinite in all of of his ways.
• Thank God for showing his power in our life and bringing you to himself. 
• Ask God to continue to work in the lives of others and in yourself to make you more like Christ and strengthen your faith.

You can also take some time bring these things before the Lord. 

• Confess your sins. 
• The Lost 
• Your Needs
