Faith University Classes

Winter 2018 (Feb – May)

Join us on Sunday mornings from 9:55-10:45 a.m. for classes that encourage you to apply the gospel to all aspects of life.

Faith Explored (Room 224)

Come see what makes Faith Baptist Fellowship tick. Check under our hood. Kick our tires. Ask your questions and get honest answers. Learn what we mean by “Cross-Centered.” Hear about our “Five Loves and Five Commitments.” Get a clearer understanding of baptism and church membership. Whether it’s your first Sunday here or your 200th Sunday, you are invited to explore Faith with us. Facilitated by Dean Born

theNEXT (Room 222)

A class for college students and young adults (18-25+ year olds).   This group is open to those who want to join together for some fellowship, interactive Bible study and prayer time. The focus of our study will be a DVD series entitled “Forgotten God”, taught by best-selling author, Francis Chan. Francis reminds of the true source of the church’s power—the Holy Spirit. We have ignored the Spirit for far too long and that without Him, we operate on our own strength. Facilitated by Tanner Leuthold and Mark Hecht

West Campus Pre-launch: The Gospel in Life (Room 225)

Join other potential west campus congregants as we look closely at how to live out the gospel and reach our city for Christ. Tim Keller’s teaching series, The Gospel in Life, will help stimulate our conversation, thinking, and prayers as they relate to the launch of the west campus next fall. Future west-siders are encouraged to attend, but all are welcome! Facilitated by Jayson Wittrup

Christian History Made Easy – Part 2 (Room 209)

In this class we will explore the most important events (and people) in Christian history from the time of the apostles to today. Part of this class will include teaching by Dr. Timothy Paul Jones (Professor at Southern Theological Seminary) via DVD. He brings to life the fascinating people and events that shaped our world. At other times we will pause and take a deeper look into individual heroes of the faith who influenced the world in their time. Facilitated by Rich Oksol and Rick Boeder

Minor Prophets (Fellowship Hall)

An overview of the Minor Prophets of the Old Testament.  Although they are defined as “minor” prophets, it does not in any way diminish their purpose or message.  The course will give the participant a better understanding of who the minor prophets were, who God is, the message the prophets relayed and how we can apply it to our lives today. Facilitated by Kendall Harsch and Dan Mortenson
