Children’s Discipleship

Introducing God’s Love

All children are a blessing and our ministry exists to provide solid, biblical teaching starting in the earliest stages of a child’s life. Opportunities are available throughout the week for your children to learn about God’s love.

Get Involved

If you love children and would love to spend time sharing Christ’s love with kids, visit the Get Involved section of our website to volunteer for any of our Children’s Discipleship opportunities.

babies in the nursery with caregiver
Volunteers are available during Faith University and the Sunday worship services to provide a safe and nurturing environment for children. We want to encourage families to worship and study God’s word while your kids have fun.

Newborns through 3-year-olds are welcome in the nursery. Parents who believe their 4-year-old children are better suited for the nursery environment may also continue to utilize the nursery.

The nursery entrance is located on the east side of the main lobby.

You may direct any questions about the nursery to Missy & Jeff Braak.

kids in sunday school
Your children will learn about God and the love he has for them each week in Sunday school. Classes for three-year-olds through fifth graders are available and meet each week from 9:55-10:45 a.m.

We do ask that young children be potty trained before they attend Sunday school. Until such time, children can be cared for in the nursery.

If you would like to sign your child up for Sunday school, please visit the Welcome Center in the main lobby. Welcome Center volunteers will show you and your child to their classroom location and introduce them to their teacher. You can also visit the Sunday School Information booth near the top of the main stairway for information on Sunday mornings.

You may direct any questions about Sunday School to Angela Myers.

preschoolers with teacher in children's church time
Kids ages 3 to 5 years old can head upstairs to our classroom area during each Sunday worship service to participate in age-specific crafts, games and gospel-centered stories.

Kids join all of us in the worship center for the opening of the service before being dismissed at either 9:00 or 11:30 a.m. to Room 203 or 204. If you are unsure of which classroom your child should go to, please ask an usher at the back of the worship center.

We do ask that young children be potty trained before they attend Children’s Worship. Until such time, children can be cared for in the nursery.

Children ages three-years-old – 5th grade engage in activities, scripture memorization, and Bible lessons using The Gospel Project® for Kids.

The Gospel Project® for Kids immerses kids and preschoolers in the gospel through every story, theological concept, and call to mission from Genesis to Revelation. Ultimately, the gospel message changes everything; heart transformation can only take place when a child experiences the gospel. Through The Gospel Project® for Kids, kids and preschoolers will understand the Bible is not just a collection of stories, but one unified story—God’s story of redemption.

We ask that young children be potty trained before they attend Wednesday Night classes. Until such time, children can be cared for in the nursery.

To sign your child up for Wednesday Night Children’s Ministry, please contact Leanne Pulling or Kaya Hall.

“By building a strong Christ-centered foundation for our children, it is my desire that they will personally know Christ at a young age and be able to stand strong. It is our duty as a church to continually provide children the opportunity to hear about Christ.”
Angela Myers – Children’s Discipleship Director
